Well at least we know why your own backups won't boot - I think. You can open SYSTEM with Notepad. Please do this on a disk you created. In the Open dialogue, select files of *.* type and then you can pull SYSTEM in. The name of the file in SYSTEM should correspond with the name of another file on the CD. If not PBPX, then it would be SLES or SLUS.

Are you sure you burnt back to the CD-R the BIN file that you patched? UP has never failed.

Whch country are you in in case we can exchange stuff by post? Dis your friend patch his own game and can he try for you with you watching?
