Hi Squall,
This occurred to me, too, when I started making a modular rip of the game and removed the cutscene audio files from the game installation. You should make sure that 1) the game is properly installed (perhaps, uninstall and then reinstall) and 2) your audio card is working properly (update to latest driver, disable EAX). Uhm, and also RTFM, contact the publisher, refer to the official game support forum etc. etc.
