Serious problem with my cd-writer and backups

well after buying a new batch of cds the problem resisted, even with lowest write speed...so i guess the thing is messed up, because no matter what i did, it always came out a bad cd...

so i went out yesterday and got myself a dvd burner, which was time for it anyway.
