1. With a modchip you would either have to disable the modchip or get a dnas patch.
2. Best software is record now max i prefer 4.5 as i have had no problems with it. Best media is ritek g04 3. There are only 2 chips on the market who use firmware and thats dms3 and matrix infinity all other chips dont need upgrading. They have these firmware updates to stop bugs and future developments. 4. It depends what u mean by " downloaded" content. U mean reality player or pirated games? 5. once the game is installed u will not need anything else except the hd loader cd. But this is not a time to start pirating.
