i wonder why????????

i had a friend that asked for a serial # for someprogram. he got suspended by eagle. however these forums are all about illegally copying games and using no cd cracks. why wld asking for one little serial # be so offencive that Eagle wld suspend someone for it????? can anyone explain this to me. i do not want to suffer the same fate as my friend for a simple question that cld have been answered with a warning insted of suspension. also, will my friend be able to use his account again?
