finally...

Thanks for the help! Man yesterday was a frustrating day! I went out and bought some tdk cd-r's for my ps1 backups. I tried all day to get it to work. I was mainly using Clone CD.. first with my cd burner then using my sony dvd burner. Late last night I finally realized that when I was making the image I was getting errors. (hehe yes I know I'm slow :/ ) So I tried cleaning the disc.. same thing. My original discs are old and very well used since I've played them so much. I finally tried one of the first games I ever bought for ps1 that really kind of sucked.. which means I never played it. I was able to get an image free of errors, but when I burned it onto the TDK cd-r it still wouldn't work. The discs either come up with "please insert a ps1 or ps2 game" or it goes to the audio screen so I can play the music for the game (which really does play the music hehe)

So at one a.m., I finally turned my attention to my ps2 games. I followed psx paul's instructions for record now max (I had found on another post that that is the program you used)... and I'm happy to report success! So at least I know my mod chip works heh. Leaving town today, so I'll have to wait to figure out these darned cd-r ps1 backups. It seems so easy so I don't know why my dumb a** can't figure it out :/

thanks again!
