Why is DJ 2 preferred over DJ 3?

Why is DJ 2 preferred over DJ 3?

I see that everyone seems to recommend Disc Juggler 2... Is there something wrong with 3? I can't get 2 to work but 3 will run on my pc... can I still use this to copy selfbooting games from the cd that have dummy files?
