1. No, 4 drives is the limit (on a standard non-RAID motherboard) without an extra controller. But you can always buy an external firewire drive.
2. You'll be waiting a LOOOONG time for DVD9 burners. The odds of a reliable burner punching through to the second layer without wrecking the first... anytime in the next couple years... is slim. - Gurm
