pal/ntsc question!

Hi! I am completley new to this so this is probably a stupid question, but any help would be appreciated. I downloaded image files of GTA, and Kula World and when I burned them, the video looked screwed up, like when I try to play a PAL DVD in a NTSC player. I just wanted to make sure that this was the case, and was wondering what I could do to remedy the situation. I've seen NTSC/PAL patches, but not for these games, is there a universal patch? Thanks for your help!!!!
