No solder mod on v5 PAL ps2

Hi,

I've just installed a no solder mod on a V5 pal ps2 and i'm having some trouble with it.

Some of the games ("maximo". "Tekken 4") load just fine but others ("Jak and Daxter", "ICO") freeze on the sce logo, and some won't load at all ("fifa 2002", "Smackdown"), VF4 loads but works really slowwwwwwww, all these are on regular TDK 74 min cd's.

Another problem is with the AR2 cd. sometimes it loads just fine but on many other occasions I get the "Please insert a ps1 or ps2 compatible cd" logo.

Anyone has any idea what's wrong? maybe I did something wrong while installing the chip? originals boot just fine.

I searched the forum for previous posts on this subject and I understand this mod is far from perfect but still these are 74 min cd's and about 80 percent won't work.
