Messiah Calibration

Hi,

When I install a messiah do I need to calibrate the PS2s laser? Any help would be apreciated.

Depends if, when you test it, it reads/boots DVD-Rs that are nown to be good.

Don't recalibrate unless you need to, don't change the resistance by more than 10% and immediately order a new laser because it'll give up on you within an unspecified period.

That said, if it's a v5, no, it's unlikely you'll need to recalibrate unless you had a NEO2.2 in there previously and it didn't play DVD-Rs.

It's a new v5 PS2 and this is the first chip. I'm glad theres no need for calibration.
