a question about Toshiba DVD

Back a while I read somewhere in this forum, that Toshiba DVDs are the best ones when it comes as the reading source.
Is there a specific model or the whole series of Tosh. DVDr can do that?

Someone correct me if i am wrong but i believe all toshiba dvd-rom's read RAW-DAO-96
