[newbie] how to make copy of resident evil 3?

Hello, let's start with saying that I'm a complete newbie in copying games, so sorry if I might say/ask stupid things.

I'd like to copy Resident Evil 3 (Nemesis) for PSX. The PSX has a modchip so I have to get rid of the modchip detection on the cd. I've read and understand the manual on this site to do so (with cdrwin and so), but what I'd like to ask is: can anyone post me a link or something where I can find the right patch.

Maybe I'd better start with asking if there is a patch for that game. It's a PAL version (should I specify the country where it's brought out? Well I think that would be Belgium).

By the way. Is there a better/other method to override the modchip detection? I've read that placing a switch between the chip and the print would be an option? Any links do so would be more than welcome.

So, would anyone be so kind to help me out? Thanx in advance!

Thanx for the info, but could you tell me which one I should use (if I look under resident evil I see many patches, but I don't know which one I will need to remove the modchip detection).

your game is PAL so you will need the PAL version.

Re3 isnt mod protected. you still need a protection patch though.
