The only purpose for a mod-chip on the DC is to play import games such as Japanese titles. The mod-chip has no other function on the Dreamcast.

One of two solutions should work. In some cases, you can patch the files in the game for PAL rather than NTSC and reburn the game. If this isn't possible for you or it doesn't seem to work, the other option is to either use a MULTISCAN television (PAL/NTSC capable) or use a TV capture card on your computer. Most capture cards I've seen are supposed to adapt to NTSC and PAL (unless I am mistaken).
If someone else has more info on the PAL/NTSC cross-compatibility of TV capture cards for PC computers, please chime in. |

okey...
So all i need is the boot CD and then i can play copyed DC games to? My TV supports NTSC and PAL. all i need is a RGB-scart and thats no problem. But i really think i need a chip of some kind. It can't be that easy to play copyed DC games on a PAL DC.

Yes, it's so easy to play copied games.
