Someone Please Help??!!
Hi I installed a PS2 No Solder Mod Chip PnP Key and everything seems to work OK. It plays the regular games fine but I cannot play any backup disks. I have tried every method of burning a backup with no success.
1. How do I know if the mod-chip is working (I can play all original game and can play game with the Gameshark2 {With and Without codes} with no problem). 2. How do I know if the CD are being burnt correctly. They seem to have all the same files as the original but when inserted they just hang. I am using a Gameshark2 and trying to start the game without code but when CDR is inserted it just hangs. Any help would be much appreciated.

I just fitted one of these too!
Press and hold eject the second you have pressed the X for no codes........when the screen fades. do not stab eject...hold it for a second the power light will flash and the tray will remain out for about 5 secs......if you got it right the try will go back in on its own. god knows how to load up GT3 and GTA3 can't find anything about the EA method with this chip. can anyone help with these games................

I have both GT3 and GTA3 DVDR backups and both play fine using the DMC demo and GS2. No solder mods do not work well for dvd rips. Mod chip sellers should state this in there ads.

I tried the boot method and still no luck, I am holding down the eject button "It pops out then back in, I hear the CD spinning but it just hangs after that".
How are you burning the CD's??? I am using CDRWin based on the tutorial on http://www.gocybershop.ca technical docs site. I've tried Ridge Racer V & Virtual Fighter 4 with no success???

back track!!! before u start burning anything else , make sure your ripping/burning method is correct there are heaps of ways to stuff up on win
if u are using a pc I suggest ripping and burning using cdrwin bin/cue method www.megames.com/ps2 ...... check with the tutorials section next , where are u getting your titles from?? do the one's your copying from even work?? go rent something from your local video shop and try copying that with the bin/cue method... if it all fails then its ur mod. hope this helps elkay

I use clone CD for copying
put Original PS2 CD in drive copy to image put cheap CDr in recorder copy from image works every time I use cheapest media (discrite £18 per 100) I have patched several with ppf to switch from NTCS to PAL no problems Have tried no mod patches....none have ever worked Have tried DVD rip packs........none have ever worked (Gt3, GTA3, Dropship)
