can't write 96 bytes...????please help:-)

i have an archos mini cdrwXS4424writer which gives me the error .can't write 96 bytes sub channel data......
doe's this mean i can't copy backup's for my origional playstation games.
thank you happy days :-bye the way i am using clonecd and it doe's everything else......

I think it's best to try different copying programs. Have you tried Nero or CDRWin?

CloneCD is very useful, if it states that your writer can't write the 96 bytes (ie RAW mode), I think you may be out of luck as far as backing up Dreamcast titles goes, but I don't know about PSX. I had the same trouble with a program called Disc Juggler, ie it won't write properly using my Traxdata 8432 drive - yet CloneCD just about manages (they load slower on the DC but who cares!).

To be honest I don't know if you need to do a RAW write when you use Nero or CDRWin, with respect to PSX titles. I suspect as long as the game has been patched then you just burn a copy of it, but I'm not sure. Sorry.

Just give Nero v4.x upwards a try and let me know how if you have any luck.
