Modification the Ricoh 7063A...would the same thing work for the 7060A?

Hey guys. Was just reading the information about modifying the Ricoh 7063A to be a Ricoh 7083A.

Well, I'm wondering if perhaps the same technique could be applied to modify the Ricoh 7060A to be a Ricoh 7080A...it seems like it would make sense, considering the 63 and 83 are "the same", the 60 and 80 would be "the same" as well, no? Does anybody have any ideas or experiences with this? Thanks in advance!
