Talking mod chip info required

looking for a no swap mod chip for v5 ps2. not bothered about dvd playing just direct boot of all back ups. any alternative to messiah chips? also if i fit messiah will i have to connect all wires just to have direct boot?

If you have a PAL v5 PS2 and live in england then why not get a pro to install a messiah. You may want to contact dust2dust or Charlie_ps2 by email through this forum about getting one installed. Both have a excellent reputation.

There is no alternative to Messiah as regards No Swap backups. Also all wires have to be connected - no get out there.

The Messiah is so brilliant in the v5 that it is definitely worth having it professionally installed.

Incidentally, "just direct boot" is actually one heck of a lot of work that the Messiah has to do to fool the PS2. The G-man beat Sony on this one.

thanks for the advice, i will go for the messiah. seen the wireing points on the board & should be able to manage it. anyone got any tips for difficult solder points
