Unhappy samsung combo sm-304b

please help, around this time last year i bought my pc which came with a combo cd burner (cd-rom/dvd-rom/cd-rw drive)...

now after successfully using it 2 make copies of dreamcast games, i want 2 make a start on ps games but, after following all instructions an the latest programs it just doesn't happen, which means i have plenty of shiny coasters wasted money....

i checked the compatibility list 4 clone-cd and noticed my samsung sm-304b but it was missing the combo part, tried it but know i have more coasters, so i guess my cd burners not compatible could some1 help me out please

i've been using nero (latest), cdr-win (unregistered), and clone-cd without success....

if it means buyin another cdr burner which 1 would be the cheapest branded 1, which is compatible with the above programs PLEASE HELP ME.................................

I'm guessing your combo drive can't copy most of the protections. So you could try downloading cracks from GCW and various other sites and give that a go.

If you are looking for the cheapest drive that will copy (almost) all protections - then it hurts me to recommend a Lite-On 24X, 32X or 40X.

Thumbs down sm-304B

I have one of these and have had nothing but bad luck... I only use it now for the dvd section of it. If I had it to do over I would have only purchased the dvd section and not both. It will do basic copies and that is about it. I have had it burn out twice and replaced twice. So, in about six months when the warrenty runs out. I guess I will be buying a dvd player only. But until then I will run it. Good luck in your quest. Check which ones are compatible with copying sd2 before you buy.
I just purchased GCE 8320B and am not sure if it is really compatible with copying sd2, yet.
But I think I have to turn off the cd media check using CloneCD, Then it should work. I can copy Comanche 4, but it is not a perfect copy as of yet. Still trying to get it quite right. But I can install the game, then use a no cd patch then I am in like flinnnnnn..... Good luck
