Some one tell me Im not screwed! Please?

I was upgrading the firmware on my yamaha CRW2100EZ And norton poped said something
about it found a virus. I took care of that and then the firmware intall just sat there for about
10 mins. Then my computer locked up. So I waited about half hour then shut down..

Now my drive wont boot. And my computer wont boot with the drive in it.
Is there a way to fix this? I just bought the drive so I can take it back if not.

try booting from a boot disk(dos)unplug any other cdrom drives upgrade that way.
