Angry Gothic: Mod-Playerkit doesn't work

Hi,
the modification kit doesn't work with the NoCD-Crack 1.08h.
The game itself works fine, but when starting it with the mod kit, it asks for the CD
Has anyone a hint?

Thanks,
ZaphodB

Look how the mod-kit is started. Meaby they have renamed the original .exe to somethingelse.exe and that is being used to start the mod-kit. In that case check if the original and mod-kit .exe size. If they are the same replace the mod-kit.exe with the original cracked.exe.
This happened to me with a Vampire mod. It took me forever to find out they had just renamed that .exe.

No, the cracked Gothic.exe is about 6.7mb, the GothicStarter.exe is 312kb big.

Trotzdem Danke.

Anyone out there with another idea?

Are you sure the GothicStarter.exe is the .exe that starts the mod? Looks to me like a file that starts Gothic (haha ) with a few options to choose from. Was the GothicStarter.exe there before you installed that mod-kit?
Could you tell me where you downloaded the kit?

Sure, everything is installed well and .exe is the right one.

I've really tried that number, Montgomery, but in didn't work in this case.
Strange, isn't it?

Hmm, well maybe tricky.

I have uninstalled gothic some time ago, and I don't want to reinstall just to test how it actually works with the mod kit.

Maybe the mod kit uses some registry settings or ini files to get to know about your gothic installation, if so, try to specify your installdir there.

If the mod kit is a third party product, I don't think it will have a cdcheck.

If it is an official product, maybe there is one.

I am actually amazed 42 didn't work!

I recently talked to Arthur Dent and we wanted to meet again at "Milliways" and listen to "Disaster Area". Do you want to join us?

Why not, but first we have to check THE restaurant, cause I've forgoten Marvin out there.
And he's in a yukky mood, I'm afraid.

I think Arthur is meeting Prostetnik Vogon Jeltzt for diner.

No problem, but wtf needs marvin our little depressive one?

Arthur is already meeting somebody else? Shame on him.

Well, after all, I recently bought Deep Thought (with my billions everything is possible), and I asked him whether a two-headed person like you is also eating a double dinner. He didn't know. I was not surprised. I think the question was far to easy for him.

Please tell me abou that. I am not willing to spent my whole money to save you from starvation.

BTW, will Ford Prefect also join us? And (TOTALLY OFF-TOPIC!!!!)
what about your mod-kit problem?

Well the initial post had something to do with it to some extend, didn't it ? (Patch question). Okay, there is some trash here, but I wouldn't agree that the entire thread is absolutely off-topic.

Correct me, if I am wrong, Zedy.
