Your opinion on the best eide cd writer...

Later this month, I'm buying a eide cd-rw. I plan on using it to burn DC and PSX (iso's and copies.) If you have experienced good or bad issues, resulting from good or bad writers, media, etc... Please let me know. Cant do SCSI, so that should narrow it down. Looking into acer or yahama, since the burns do better at 1x, it shouldnt matter how fast they run, (6x,4x,24x ect...)

Please let me know you rexperiences or where I can go to get the info.

The Rolls Royce of cd writers is the Plextor..just a couple of pounds dearer than the Yamaha.Get one from a computer fair if you can, save quite a few pounds...Make sure the dealer is there every week.they usually are.Good luck.
PS..you can't go wrong with Verbatim media, most people swear by them
