Is there anyone who knows how to make a backup of final fantasy 7 or is it like a protected game

i dont think that it is proctected,i think that they didn't put proctection on them till number 8 but not sure look at the post titled are you lookin for a patch. i put up a list of sites that have patches ect.so you can take a look.

Thank you for replying I thought they would start protecting them sooner or later anyway I was wondering how do I copy it using clone cd what setting and everything if you know how I would really apreciate it

try these clonecd settings :

create a CD-Image using CloneCD with these settings:

Set Read Speed to 1x or 2x
Select Read SubChannel Data from Data Tracks
Select Read SubChannel Data from Audio Tracks
Select Abort On Read Error
UnSelect Fast Error Skip
Set Read Retry to at least 5
Set Error correction to None
UnSelect Don't report bad sectors
UnSelect Intelligent Bad Sector Scanner

To burn image to cd:

Set Write Speed 1 or 2x
Select RAW DAO
Select Don't Repair SubChannel Data
UnSelect Simulate Writing (if available)
Select Burn Proof/Just Link (if available)
unSelect Perform Laser Power Calibration
unSelect Wait until Buffers are full
Select Always close last Session

Ok thank alot what if you burn at 4x will it mess up

it might and might not.try it and see i said burn at that speed because that is what i burn at,never tried to go faster because i got the time anyway.but give it a shot.
