Ok here is my scenario. I bought a NeoKey for my Playstation 2. I disassembled it and got to the motherboard. My model number is SCHP-3001 R. However when I look at the pictures for installation for the version 5, my motherboard doesnt look anything like it. I took a look at the version 4 and it matched up. I had ordered the solderless mod chip and it wouldnt fit either because there were no ribbons to unplug (even though it says it fits all 3001 R models). I want to install my modchip but first I need to know if I have version 4 or 5. Any help would be appreciated.

You have a v4, Just because it's a 30001r doesnt mean it's a v5. The only definate way of telling what version it is other than matching the boards is to open the expansion bay and look across the top edge, 2 screws= v4, 3 screws= v5.
