Bridge Commander no CD patch issues

I have also had the problem mentioned by some concerning blank menu options in BC after applying the no CD patch, plus i can not chat in game either! i can SEND chat messages, but can not SEE them . . . BTW, these features worked fine before I used the patch . . . any ideas, anyone?
