I've had the same error, except the sector was different. Seems some newer games like Max Payne and The Sims:Hot Date have some very cool protection on them. Dunno if it's the drive's fault, or the copying program's fault that it can't read it.

Oops. Yeah, I was talking about PC. I suppose I wouldn't have made much sense, seeing as this is the PSX forum. But while I'm here, what are the best settings to use in CloneCD when reading a PSX game? And possibly the best burn settings? I mean ideally, like you had a perfect burner and reader or something? And if it's not too much trouble, what's some good fail-safe settings? Ones that will usually get you a good copy of a game, although might take longer or something.

try these clonecd settings :

create a CD-Image using CloneCD with these settings:

Set Read Speed to 8x
Select Read SubChannel Data from Data Tracks
Select Read SubChannel Data from Audio Tracks
Select Abort On Read Error
UnSelect Fast Error Skip
Set Read Retry to at least 5
Set Error correction to None
UnSelect Don't report bad sectors
UnSelect Intelligent Bad Sector Scanner

To burn image to cd:

Set Write Speed 2x
Select RAW DAO
Select Don't Repair SubChannel Data
UnSelect Simulate Writing (if available)
Select Burn Proof/Just Link (if available)
unSelect Perform Laser Power Calibration
unSelect Wait until Buffers are full
Select Always close last Session

Happy playing!

psx_paul is on a distinguished road
Or you can use ClonyXL (from cdmediaworld) and it selects the best settings and sends them to CloneCD.
