Virgin Ripper !!! Please Help

hi all,
can anyone explain in lamen terms from start to finish, how to back up my original monsters inc ps2 game, as most of you out there will know, when you have young kids all your games get used as just about anything that pops into there little devious minds ! well i downloaded the above rip kit and and set up c:\monsters folder as requested and extracted all the files to the said mentioned, so far so good, clicked on patch 1 the same to patch 2, now have monstersinc easy cd creator image, if i click on the image it starts the burn process, out pops the cd all done, checked cd and loadz of files on there, put into ps2 using dvd region x bootup disc as normal blah blah press start and nothing but black screen, so please help wot did i do wrong, by the way before burning i right clicked and cleared all read only files then burned cd, ???? please help me from wasting more discs and blowing my head off (only kidding) but i do need the help, cheers sharky.

Have you tried the double swap trick?

I have neo 4 and i can get all the games i have to boot up no problems even some of the EA games that do not direct boot

heres how to double swap

do the swap trick as normal but when you let go of the power reset button and the drive pops out take the regionX cd out and let the drive go back in without putting the copyed game in then when its gone back in wait about 2 secs then press the eject button to eject the drive then insert the copied CD and press eject so the drive closes then press start and it should work

it can take quite a while to get it to work and get the timeing right but after a few times you should beable to do it strieght away

DVD ripping has been done over and over on this forum in the past, Most of us have advanced to the point of buying burners to save our sanity. You would probally have better luck finding what you need on the dvd ripping forum at www.ps2ownz.com....Good luck.

help is this right ???
i need some advice on backups, i have enough coasters now to start a blue peter bring and buy !!!

i can't get not one to boot up, the process as follows:::

1 make folder for example c:\monsters

2 copy all files from monsters inc dvd to the above folder

3 now extract monsters rip-kit to same folder,

4 select all files and remove read only files

5 click on batch1 and let finish and the same with 2 and 3

6 now have iso image

7 open cdrwin, open extras and set parameters in build a iso9600

8 select cdrom-xa, mode 2, and 4x speed

9 select iso image from c:\monsters

10 click start and burn on baby burn on !

11 finished successfully hooooora

12 bootup with dvd region x bootup disc, swap for backup and wait and wait and wait and wait black screen only no picky and no sound ????????? so wot went wrong ????????

13 coasters 10 and me 0

it must be me as i am a newbie to ps2 backups !!!

i can burn for england or like it's going out of fashion when i comes to psx/ ps1

so please help where am i going wrong ??? i can't take much more captain cause i'm gonna blow !!!!!!!!!!!

ripping is game hit miss
who wrote rip guide is it reported to work
paradox sandal i know to b reliable im sure there r many more now
and r u sure u not done anything wrong or missed something out
1 silly mistake anything and it wont work
we all(who done dvd ripping) have large quantities of coasters
ripping was good but price dvdwriter it just not worth it no more
i understand your fustration
my major claim to fame was i tryed ripping gt3 6 months ago
i tryed many tutorials much advice many forums
2 weeks later 20 coasters was still trying
then i got new tutorial it was in german
2 hours translating it best i could
15 mins do rip it worked
i typed up english instruction u not believe the amount thx you i got
but ripping was getting harder then i hate to think what like on new game
monster inc dvdr np boots everytime

was my no1 ripping page for guides i looked he has no monster inc
but he has like 30 ish tutorials there if they say they work i would say that then they work if u follow it correct

many thanks for the help, as you can see i have placed the process i have been taking, i need someone to tell me if it is right or wrong, or can anyone tell me how to do ripkits properly, would be much grateful for the imput,
