Can't make a backup of 'Amerzone' english version . Tryed everthing i found on GCW. Big problem is the file 'Amerzone.prt' . Can't read that file, whatever i did. Nero Burning , CloneCD and BlindRead didn't work too --> pc got frozen each time in the beginning file 'Amerzone.prt' . Must be possible to unlock of replace that file like i did with autorun and ddl file.
Can't use the information given on GWP because the directory of german isn't the same as the english one (english version no file 'setup.dat'

PLEASE CAN SOMEBODY HELP ME !!!!!

There must be an expert that can give me a solution.

Lightbulb Backing up Amerzone

At the time I made a backup, I did not have clonecd or a fancy writer. For some reason or other, I decided to archive the contents of the cd to my harddrive, unzip it, then burn it back.

There are huge files on the cd, one is over 1 gig which is impossible on a standard cd blank. without the garbage, which is deliberately inserted in the files, the file is a normal size. I used winrar to zip each large file to the harddrive, then each subdirectory. winrar has its own crc checker and it only zipped the true content of the files.

I then unzipped everything and burned it back using the same label as the original cd. this is the only game to my knowledge that you can use this trick, but it is a good one to bypass the tremendous overburn properties of the original.
