Can someone answer me this question? is about shenmue II the backup version

I recently downloaded shenmue II and burned the 4 cds and when I stared playing the game I noticed that in many parts of the game it had no voices, just plain text and I was wondering if this could be because i burned the discs in a wrong way or is it because the group that ripped this game had to take out many of the voices in order to fit the Gd-rom game it into the cd-rom format. so can someone answer me this question please? I just need to know!

Rip Notes: All of the CDs had the Japanese speech ripped. There was no way to
fit this on, and as you will see, most of the CDs fit very tightly
without it. This only affects the in game speech, you will still
have speech in the cut scenes

Thats why!
