as you probably suppose there is a reason why I'm askin. I tried to remove the Cd Check from Salt Lake *unsecuromed* Myth Release. While waitin 4 your answer i was playin around with Hiew. Nice Prog, easy to handle. But problem is, Information like: ref. by a call.... is missing (or i haven't found it). that makes things difficult tracin back to look where function is called. maybe you got some ideas.
thx Dr. |

Hi there!
Well, HIEW is not a FULL Disassembler, so I suppose that's why the refs are missing, never used it! The Serious Sam 2 exe either has Anti-Disassembler tricks or something screwed in the header to fool W32Dasm, dunno, I'm not an asm programmer ![]() The guys over at the RCE are THE GUYS to ask such questions, they know their stuff!! Thanks Dr.A I'm done with the crack. All fine. Problem was the entry point. I fixed the PE Attributes to read/write and got access. Once again the guys from RCE helped me.
