is this a virus or what?

####://dl.gamecopyworld.com/dl.cgi?D2ExRun2!zip
is a link sent to a no cd crack that my system says is a trojan virus...now i know what the warnings are for gamecopyworld and that the cracks used there are sometimes constrewed as viruslike to some virus scanners... but when I installed it it burned my motherboard... now the strange thing is that I had the program before and it worked just fine. so I guess my question is, does anyone have definable proof that there is no virus in this particular no cd crack?

If you used a REAL virus scanner and not Nortons then you would not get false alarms.
All the files on GCW are scanned with a REAL virus scanner to ensure no viruses or trojans are present.

Hey guys, your best choice is using _two_ virus scanners at the same time. I am using McAfee VirusScan (running resident) at work on a Windows NT 4.0 machine but I check suspicious files with F-Prot for DOS, as well.

Joe Forster is right. It really is best to use 2 AV scanners if you're scared of viruses, just remember though that your Anti Virus protection is only as good as your last update. If you don't update every few days, it may as well not even be installed on your computer.
All of this coming from me, a hyprocrite, as now I don't even have one AV program on my machine. Heh. I do wear gloves though. :-)
