Can someone please help with burning House Party. I've read the messages from here and used everything I know and still no success.

hi what are the problem you are having ?
My house party was working fine before but after i uninstall and install it the second time.. it keep saying they can't locate my cd. All of my other expansion pack work fine except the house party.

burn with clone cd load daemon tools run game from virtual drve ,that's the best i have as i can't burn sucseful disk only coasters so far,maybe daemon tools disk dump will help?

If u have any crack i advice u to replace the original one inside the installshield installation......i did it at first sight when i saw the game and no problems had give me from i burned it!

Hi just a little question here, how do you replace the exe file with in the installation file and burn it that way to a cd?

I copied House party with out any problems, I used clony to detect the protection and used the settings clony gave me for coneCD, did an image file and then used Betablocker to fix the bad sectors, and then burned the image file to a cd using cloneCD with amplify weak sectors ticked. My burner can only do RAW SAO and is not supposed to be able to make a 1:1 workable copy but it DID both with house party and with Harry potter and most other older games.

To replace a file within the installation routine you can use a cab-extractor (take a look at the readme) which you may find on gcw. But it is important to use the correct version. This works only for games, where the main exe is compressed within a cab-file, of course.

Using betablocker and a newer version of clonecd is of course a very good idea... if it works!
Always worth a try.

To replace the file into a installshield cab u need the ixcomp program available at gamecopyworld and u need to fight with the program till u domain it (it took 1 weekend to learn it far ago!)...THIS IF NOBODY HELPS U!

I think this game uses Safedisk 2 protection. Not a lot of writers are capable of handling this protection (it needs to be capable of correct EFM c####g). Check the Clone CD compatitbility list. If it is compatitle when reaading to an image file in Clone CD, select Fast Error Skip and in the Error settings put retires to 0 and correction to software.

If it isn't compatitle, you may still have a chance with a 1:1 copy. Still use the same settings when reading (and read from the burner), then when writing, select Amplify Weak Sectors. This may or may not work.

Always try this first cos using cracks isn't ideal.

the game you refer to,is copy protected..may i suggest you download the latest version of clonecd..assuming your writer is compatiable with it,also cddetect0.6..these progs together will solve your probs m8..

hell, some people have had trouble with house party not running with the original cd on the first time its installed. stupid sfdsc2.

If they are going to make it so hard to backup programs, they should include 2 game discs in the original packaging, save everyone the trouble (and put macrovision outta business)

hey,i have a ricohmp7163a and had no trouble with the backup of house party it worked and still works perfect without the nee of any patches or the daemon tools prog!try reading at 2x speed and do the same when writing!i think that this may solve your problem.
