commandos2 fixed exe

anyone successful in using this file?
cus I dont
I tried copying the fixed exe to the c2 dir n still have same problem: comm2.exe error.
then I tried copying all cd3 content to HD n replace comm2.exe to fixed.exe n burn it again.
still doesnt work.......
can ne1 help me how to use this file??

hello,

first u have to dl WinAce Archiver v 2.04 (Shareware-Version). You can dl it from www.computerchannel.de . Install WinAce. Then extract the commandos 2.ace file. Replace the original COMM2.EXE executable with the one from the Executable Archive. Then play without CD. It works !!

Try unwrapping the Original EXE!

Commandos 2 uses safedisc v.2.30.33 so you can unwrap your Original EXE with unsafedisc! See if making your own dumped/rebuilt exe cures the problem!

yeah I tried both ways, still doesnt work
even the fixed.exe not working on my comp n i also use unsafedisc n failed.
I've been looking for clone cd3 of commandos2 by Maxxim but couldnt find it anywhere...
can some 1 help me?
