Nero/CdClone/Daemon??

I have tried to make a backup copy of The Sims, and I used Nero to do this twice and both times I had the same outcome. It succefully copied the cd. I was able to use the backup cd to install the game completely. The burned cd will start the autoplay program but when I tell it to play the game it returns a notice saying, please insert correct cd-rom, then try again. Or something similar to this. I also tried using cdclone to make a backup but this did not work either. I also tried Deamon, but I am not sure if I am using this correctly. Any suggestions???
