i need help uploading pc games to pc with no cd rom drive

i have a computer at work (dell optiplex) with no cd rom.
it does have pentium 550 and nic card (internet access)

i'd like to be able to upload some games from home(via internet) that are currently on cd rom disks. (thief, and tomb raider 2)..... oldies but goodies!!

how do i save these games to hard drive? do i just copy contents right off of disk?

someone told me i had to use cd burner program nero "which i do have" and image the program on to the hard drive, and then upload it. but i can't figure out how to do it. everything gets saved with an "nrg" extension. and i don't have nero at work.
