How do I copy any games? Especially HL Opposing Force?

I am completely new to this scene and want to know how do I copy Half- Life Opposing force. What tools do I need to download and what are some tips for a newbie such as myself?

Hi there.
Generally speaking, nobody can tell you how to copy ANY game, because there are a lot of different copy-protections out there. If you aren't an experienced programmer, you won't be able to get around a copy protection, BUT:
1. Buy the original, as I don't appreciate pirates
2. Use CloneCD, a strong tool for making a 1:1 copy
(CloneCD only works with a few writers, but if your one
isn't compatible with it, you haven't already lost)
3. If you can't use CloneCD you should use Blindwrite,
Discjuggler, CDRWin to copy it or copy the whole
contents of the CD to a TempDir and burn it.
Then go on this page or megagames.com and get your
recommended patch.

Concerning HL OF, I think it is safedisc1-protected, but I'm not quite sure. Take a look at the Game-Index on gamecopyworld and take a look at the COPY-INSTRUCTIONS.

KEEP ON READING IN FORUMS to learn more about copying CDs, as the things I said are far, far beyond being complete.
Hope I could help a bit ??

CU, so long MONTY
