need help backing up sims!

I was wondering if anyone has backed up the sims. Since its protected how would i go about?Do i make an image then then add patch to .bin or .cue?Im using nero and cdrwin to burn since my burner isn't
supported by clonecd.thanx to all!!!!

Heres one solution as you cant use CloneCD with your writer (I cant either)

Make a folder on your hard drive (any name) and copy all files from the cd into it.

Run nero and make a new cd rom (iso). Choose no multisession and change the volume label to that of the sims cd. Drag and drop all files from the sims folder you made into the window on the left. Burn the cd.

This will make a backup but it wont bypass any protection. You can install the game from the copied cd and patch to whatever version you like, then all you gotta do is download the relevant crack from GCW and replace the sims.exe on your hd. (make a backup of the old sims.exe first though)

You could also add the latest patch and crack into a separate folder on the cd before you burn it.

This is just my method, there may be others.
