neo 2.5 chip is out! v5 compatible?

####://playstationmodchip.com/ is advertising a new neo 2.5 chip that is supposed to be v4 & 3000#R v5 compatible when used with the gameshark 2.
says it can play cdr's & dvdr's any body fitted yet?

You are right to ask - but it is still only a 5 wire mod for the v5 which makes DVDR swapping a challenge.

Also as an indication that they may have some ways to go in knowing what they are talking about, their CDRWin instructions are WRONG. Always set Abort on Read error NOT Ignore on Read Error; no PS1/2 disk comes with a read error so if it's got one it's knackerd.

Furthermore they advise burning at 1x; if your CD is syanin or Azo and the burner is calibrated for that, then 4x is better because the disk expects a shrort write strategy. A technical detail that fools many and causes a lot of questions on the forum
