HELP! I am trying to backup up Madden 2002

Ok Guys,
I am new to creating backups so I read through the idiots guide to patching and tryed creating my own patch and also tryed using the patch online. When using gamester I selected A because I am in America. Everything else went fine, but it doesn't get past the sony screen. CAn anyone shed some light on this? Any and all help is appreciated! Are the patches on the site tested and proven to work?

Has anyone had any problems backing up madden 2002? The only patches I found were NTSC to Pal patches, no protection patches. Does anyone have any info that would help? Thanks!
