Plug mod vs. Stealth (internal) mod
OK, one more question. I am now looking into what mod to get for my system (all along I have been working off a friend's PSX). However, i am not to sure what kind of a chip I should get for my system. Internal soldering isn't a problem for me. None the less, I would perfer not to tamper with the inside of my PSX if at all possible. However, i cannot seem to find a plug mod (parallel port) that will allow me to play my heavily anit-mod protected japanese imports. But on the other side, I am not sure if these "stealth" internal modchips will play all those games either. Which one should I get? I am confused, and relativly inexperienced. I need any help\experiences\opinions possible to make this crucial desision. Thank you all for your help up to now, I truly do apreciate it ;-)

Get a internal chip, most plugmods for PSX are not very good. the sound may skip or the picture distort. another alternative is to get the PSX-Change boot disc.

do yourself a favour and get an internal mod chip, as nightstalker says you will most probably have trouble with a plugin mod read some of the back posts on plug ins i think that may make up your mind they can be more trouble than their worth
