Unique Porblems With Patching... Please Help
OK, first of all, don't jsut respond by saying to search the fourm records for the answer to my problem... I've tried. Anyways, here is my prob:
I use 2 different probrams to create my backups: Clone CD and CDRWIN. I have no problems with Clone CD (and in fact have gotten it to copy heavily protected games 1:1, such as Res Evil 3). However, I know very well that there are some games out there that Clone CD simply cannot properly backup, and I will need a patch for. However, whenever I patch a .bin file (image from CDRWIN) and try to burn it using CDRWIN, I get a coaster: an disk that is unreadable by my playstation. I HAVE NOT gotten an hack or keygen and attemted to put in a false reg. code, so I'm pretty sure that is not the problem. I have tried ppf and p4u patches, and both were unsuccessfully burnt, even though they were successfully patched using their respective patching programs. Thats bout it... If it helps, here are my system specs: CDRW Drive: Mitsumi CR-4804TE OS: Win ME CDRWIN: 4.0A ***PLEASE HELP ME!!! I AM OUT OF IDEAS!!!*** |

It's likely to be as simple as dumping CDRWin 4 and going back to CDRWin 3.8D which is totally reliable. CDRWin 3.8F is also good for burning but there is a glitch that may affect you in that it takes a long time to load and ties up other resources - screwing up, for example, subsequent dial-ups.
Let us know if that works, it has worked for oothers who have burned coasters with 4.0 |
