backing up games - Please help

I sometimes have trouble backing up some of my games. When I go to burn them, it sometimes stops part way through, does anyone know what the problem is.

Well, I am using CDR-Win to burn the games. I have an LG CD-Writer. It has done it to me with several games, the most recent is Syphon Filter 3. I've heard this game is not protected, so I'm sure it is not that. As to it being Pal, or what, I don't know what that is even. I appreciate your help and hope you can help me further!! Thanks a lot.

Hi jabber,

Do you get an error message when the write stage halts with CRWin?

If so then what is it?

What operating system are you currently using?

Is your copy of CRWin registered?

If so then did you pay for the licence and get your own reg code or download one? It is possible that you are using a blacklisted reg code that can result in your problem.

How old is you Hard Drive? and what size is it?

Try running scandisk to check the condition of your hard drive followed by disk deframenter.

let us know how you get on.

I am just using a demo version of CDR-Win. I don't get an error message, it simply quits burning. It seems like it is still working, but i left it for an hour once and it didn't help. I just bought my computer, so my hard drive is just a couple months old. It is a 30 gig hard drive. Thanks for the help, do you think it is because it is a demo version of CDR-Win???
