PS2 V5?

i got in touch with my parents in the UK because i wanted to get my kids that live over there with my ex a PS2 and get it chipped, but i got told that sony have replaced the PS2's with a new version 5 and that you can't get the chip, and that the Action replay's are no good neither for the new PS2(i was gonna send money over to the UK to get a PAL version by the way).

is there a chip out there for this new PS2???

thankyou SM

Neo 2 works fine with the new V5 board. You also need the new Action Replay 2 Version 2 (the old 1.9 version or Region X won't even boot). All EA games need to be patched with the neokey patcher but I've tried this combination with all 120 games in my collection & every one boots just fine.
