Can anyone tell me how to use patches? Please....

I have a PSX mod chip CD, a japanese import game, and my playstation. I wanted to play my game but I don't know ANYTHING about patches! I don't know what they are, how they work and how to use them! I know I need to use it to play my game (Dance revolution-Japanese) but I don't even know where to ####t! There are so many tittles/symbols... I SERIOUSLY need help. Please, PLEASE, of anyone could help me and teach me about patches and how to use them I would appreciate it soo much. Post, or email... ANYTHING!!! My address is: [email protected]

You need to download a program called PPF-O-Matic
from www.gamefreax.de
its under Tools then PSX!
The program should explain itself
