Hi guy's, i've read / searched the forum and my head is spinning........so this is what i need some clarity on.... i have a PAL psx1, i have had it chipped to play burnt/ntsc games. I have a game i brought from o/seas (medievil 2 ntsc) it won't play and i've been told i need a boot disk to insert and then put in the game. Is this correct.......or...........can i d/l a patch to convert the game using cdrwin and ppf-o-matic.......or .........am i a total loser and my punishment is to be only allowed to surf " backstreet boys " websites..............any help will be greatly appreciated and the beers are on me......

Thx in advance.........

The PSX1 does not have a multi region bios like the original PSX so there is a need for the boot disk to play any imports if you have installed on of the earlier chips for the PSX1.

The newer "all in one" mod chips for the PSX1 do away with the need to use the boot disk for imports.

You could try and backup the game and add an NTSC/PAL convertion patch, the backup should then boot.
