CloneCD problem, possible bug???

I am trying to backup Xenogears using CloneCD and I used the method of making a CD image to the HDD then to burn it from the HDD.

I am using CloneCD ver 3.00.11 shareware and when I tried to run it
it just shut down my computer. I tried using a key generator to see if the registered version did the same and so it did, so I can't burn using CloneCD, is this a possible bug.

I have a TOSHIBA DVD, with a Plextor Plexwrite 8/4/32A rev. 1.09
which matched up well with the hardware requirements. The only thing I can think of is the Asus P2B motherboard, but that is still a long shot guess, is there any suggestion or help to relieve this problem?
