Patching games with clone cd

is there anyway of patching games with clone cd? i have tried to patch sydney olympics with cdr win but it did not work(proberbly because it was the first time i had ever used it)i used some thing called ppf patcher or something

Pc with cdr/rw

amd k6-2 500
160mb ram
10 + 6.4 gig hdd
samsung 8x4x32 cdrw
etc...

Forget the patches for this game - NONE of them work.
If your hardware is not 100% CloneCD compatible then don't bother trying to back it up.
