Battlefield 2 Bad company

Hello!

I'm curious if I could get a little assistance or help with solving a problem I have with my game.

When I start Battlefield 2 Bad company I first see a black screen, then a mouse cursor that changes to a time glass, and after that the screen flashes and I see my desktop again in smaller resolution, then black screen again without my cursor, then the game shuts down.

IŽve tried to use the "no intro" fix, to see if my computer had any problem with the intros. My computer might be to old to run this game.

Do anything got any ideas how I could proceed to find out what's wrong?

Thanks for answers in advance.

Does it occur with or without a crack or both? Read the PC Games forum FAQ for some general solutions.

Both.

I guess IŽll begin with updating my graphics drivers and try if that's the problem.

Okay I've updated windows and graphics, no difference.

I don't think there would be any difference if I updated motherboard chipset, it was done quite recently and I had someone else do it for me because it was quite advanced.

Anyone else who might have a clue to what my problem might be?

I got a Radeon 9600 256Mb graphic card.
I've come to the conclusion that my graphic card doesn't support rendering mode 3 or something like that, which battlefield uses? Because I tried running on another computer, with some newer graphic card, and it worked fine.

It's just weird. Because usually I get warnings or error messages when those problems are the cause. Even if my computer is laughtable old, it's stable and I've at least always been able to start my games even though they went slow and lagged some. Battlefield 2 bad company, and settlers 7 are the two first games that havn't worked on my little angel.

Time to purchase a new computer, sad, but profitable.

yes, you have to buy a new one if you want to play without 5fps...i thought that'd be clear..

And not weird at all, system specs are on backcover, programm must not give you an error msg, and so on,...nothing to speak of at all.

(From game readme.txt):

Video Card Video card must be 256MB or more and contain these chipsets or better: NVIDIA GeForce 7800 GT ; ATI X1900. Laptop versions of these chipsets may work but are not supported. Updates to your video and sound card drivers may be required.
