my psx backups won't stop skipping

I've been trying to make copies of psx games but they keep skipping (for FMV's, music, etc.). I have an HP CD-Writer Plus 8100 and I've tried many different programs. Are there any copying programs that will burn the game without it skipping?

Also, I've been using Memorex CD-R discs. Thanks.

Well you have the same burner as i do and as Warlock has mentioned in his question, you may be writtiing the image too fast.

I use 2x to write and i use cheap, crappy, unbranded cdr's and never have any trouble with fmv or audio.

There is another possible cause and that is your PSX, you may find that it needs tweaking a little if its an older version. If this seems to be the trouble then email me with your PSX model number and i'll guide you through it.
