someone help!!

I have been making backups for a while now and things have been working good. Some games I have to put my playstation on its side but they work fine. I just got tony hawks 2 and burned it and it worked fine for a while. but now it starts spining then clicks and starts going the other way. it does the same on southpark. I have a game enhancer plug in modichip and i used vertabom blue sided blank cd for it. SO IF ANY ONE CAN HELP it would be cool.

i take it you have an older version of the psx.

Well this is a common problem and is quite easy to fix.

take the top off and you will see the laser assembly, just at the top of the ribbon the is a small adjuster (POT) that you can twist. Turn it anti clock wise just a fraction with your finger and try to boot up again. You can do this without having to put the lid back on, just hold down the microswitch.

If it still happens then try turning clock wise. it may take a few attempts but you will get there.

dont use a metal screwdriver or too much pressure on this pot or you may rip it off the ribbon, light finger pressure should do, or a small plastic adjuster.

Hope you get it sorted.
